Augusta, GA - On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, Marylin Faye Alderman Poston, loving mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 83.

Marylin was born on July 2, 1938, in Lake City, SC to Hubert Brantley and Faye
(Coward) Alderman and grew up in Charleston, SC.
She and her husband of 58 years, Edgar Rudolph Poston, made their home in North Augusta, SC where they raised their family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Edgar “Eddie” Poston, and her brother, Joel Alderman.

She is survived by her daughters, Kareen “Lynne” (Michael) Riley, Jeanette Alderman Gilles; son, Charles (Angela) Poston; her grandchildren, Corey Poston, Austin (Shelby) Poston, Alexander Gilles, Anthony Gilles, Aiden Gilles, Serenity “Reni” Poston-Hymel, great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Hyatt.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm on January 29, 2022, at The Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity, in North Augusta, SC. The funeral service will be held, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ross Guthrie and Rev. Rob Hartley officiating. Interment will immediately follow. To celebrate Marylin’s life the family asks that you wear blue to the service. Masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the
Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity, 160 Merovan Drive, Sweetwater Business Center, North Augusta, SC 29860, or the American Cancer Society.
