AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Monday, June 21, 2010, Mrs. Matilda Robertson Wright, 94, wife of the late William Herbert Wright.

Mrs. Wright was a native of Mayfield, KY and had resided in Augusta since 1942. She was member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church, member of the Altar Guild, and the Robert Taylor Sunday School Class. Mrs. Wright was an avid Bridge player and was a garden club member. She loved to travel, read, and enjoyed needlework.

Family members include daughters: Julie Dent and husband Bud of Augusta, Linda Wright of Vidalia, GA, Robin Collins and husband Harry of Columbia, SC; son: Bill Wright, Jr. and wife Sandy of Augusta; 15 grandchildren: Ted, Hallie, Lees, Mark, Anna, Kathy, Ethan, Park, C.W., Bert, Robertson, Erin, Katie, Will, Stacey; and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Beth Williamson and son Stephen Wright.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Kim Harris for her loving care.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Brown officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
