Matthew Zelgewicz
Evans, GA – On Thursday, October 21, 2021 Matthew Leonard Zelgewicz, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend went to be with the Lord at the age of 33.
Matthew will be missed dearly by those who love him, including his father, Jim (Mickey) Zelgewicz, mother, Kim (Norton) Wade, sisters Marisa Wade Hartley (Jason), Lauren Zelgewicz, and Kate Zelgewicz, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, his beloved dog Ace, and so many great friends.
Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Rose Zelgewicz, and his maternal grandparents, Clifford and Lois Harrison and James and Betty Stewart.
Matthew loved the Lord and loved worshiping Him through his music. He was a talented musician, who loved to pull out his guitar and sing to anyone that would listen. Matthew was an exceptional athlete, who had a passion for playing baseball from a very early age. He was known for his outgoing personality, infectious smile, and ability to make friends easily. Over the years, these friends assigned him nicknames (“Z”, “Zigga”) that he will forever be lovingly remembered by.

The funeral service will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Rev. Larry Glover officiating and guest speaker, Cliff Nobles.
