Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, Mrs. Maxine Daniell Ward, 89, wife of 72 years to Mr. Pard R. Ward.
Maxine was born in Dublin, Georgia. She worked as the bookstore manager for the University of Georgia, the Birmingham School System and General Dynamics in Fort Worth, TX. She was a devoted wife and friend to many. She and her husband traveled around the world making lifelong friends on each trip. The most recently developed and enduring friendships were at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church, Eatonton, Ga, and the Del Web Community, Greensboro, GA.
Surviving family members include her brother, Alfred Daniell (Ida) of Eastman, GA; Sister, Marlene Daniell Neal (Tony) of Evans, GA; Numerous nieces and nephews that she enjoyed tremendously, and they have many wonderful memories of time spent with Maxine and Pard. Including: Patsy McAllister (Paul) of Colorado; Lynn Duston (Daniel) of Valdosta, GA; Mark Collins (Deborah) of Moore, SC; David Daniell (Rita) of Fairhope, AL; Larry Daniell (Marsha) of Huntsville, AL; Dawn Daniell Tincher (John) of Dadeville, AL; Shelia Daniell Sharp (Mike) of Murfreesboro, TN; Scott Daniell (Melissa) of Oxford, GA; Jeffrey Neal (Jennifer) of Lookout Mountain, GA; and Keith Neal of Evans, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dwight Daniell, Sr. and Shelley Keen Daniell, a brother, Dwight Daniell, Jr., and her husband, Pard R. Ward.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Dublin Memorial Gardens in Dublin, GA with Rev. Alfred Daniell officiating.
