Augusta, GA - Melanie Anne Elizabeth Garrison, 18, daughter of Darcy Melanie Bowen Key and Jim M. Garrison, Jr. entered into rest Sunday, May 24, 2009.
Miss Garrison was a graduate of Lakeside High School where she lettered in chorus for 4 years and was a member of HOSA. She was also a member of Warren Baptist Church.
Family members in addition to her parents are her stepfather: Neil Key of Waynesboro; stepmother: Wanda Garrison of Martinez; sister: Amanda Garrison of Chattanooga, TN; brother: Jesse Garrison of Martinez; stepbrothers: Zachary Lawson and Matthew Lawson of Martinez; stepsister: Savannah Key of Waynesboro; paternal grandparents: Jim and Gail Garrison of Augusta and maternal grandparents: David and Rhoda Bowen of Conyers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. David H. McKinley officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to the MCG Children’s Medical Center, 1446 Harper St. Augusta, GA 30912.
