Melanie was born May 29, 1956 in Miami, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Joseph D. L. and Linda Lindsay Buckland.
Melanie is survived by a nephew, Stephen J. Buckland of Evans, Georgia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David L. Buckland, and her husband, Grady Bentley.
