Evans, GA - Melrose Bell Perrin, entered into rest on Sunday, May 23, 2021 in Evans, GA. She was born in 1920 in Waynesboro, GA. She was the daughter of the late Sim and Mamie C. Bell.
She was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late David B. Perrin of Boston, MA. She graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1937 and attended Queens College in Charlotte, NC for several years before returning to Augusta. She was employed by the Citizens and Southern Bank in Augusta. She was a member of the Junior League of Augusta and was a long-time member of Aldersgate UMC.
She is survived by her children: Melrose Perrin York, of Augusta, GA and David H. Perrin (Anne) of Long Creek, SC; grandchildren: Benjamin M. Perrin, Abigail B. Perrin, and David B. Perrin all of Long Creek, SC, Paul T. York (Meredith) of Augusta, GA; great grandchildren: Kylie S. York and Keaton T. York, of Augusta, GA. In addition to her husband and parents, Melrose was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kathryn M. York.
The family will greet friends on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 11:30 until 12:30 in the Gathering Area of Trinity on the Hill UMC, 1330 Monte Sano Ave. Augusta, GA.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel at Trinity on the Hill UMC at 1:00 pm. Rev. Dr. Sim Fulcher and Rev. Scott Hearn will be officiating.
