Michael Alexander Gunter

Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, July 3, 2021, Michael Alexander Gunter, 17, loving son of George and Carol (Maddox) Gunter.

Michael was born in Augusta and was a student at Greenbrier High School. Standing at 6’4” he was known as a kind and respectful person. Michael enjoyed video games and was fascinated with building computers, coding, and graphic design, and drawing. Michael loved hanging out with his friends and family, often at his house with his favorite pizza and science fiction show or movie or newest video game. His favorite topic was often the latest Marvel movie or show.

Family members in addition to his parents include his sister: Emma Gunter; maternal grandmother: Brenda (Green) Johnson; paternal grandfather: Richard L. Gunter; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his sister: Leia Alyse Gunter; paternal grandmother: Mary (Brimer) Gunter and maternal grandfather: Joseph B. Maddox.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son, with Rev. Bob Hoeller officiating. Michael will be laid to rest in Jacksonville, Alabama.
