Michael C. Kelvin
Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, September 30, 2021 Michael Charles Kelvin, 92, husband of the late Gertrud Kelvin.
Michael was born in Josefov, Czechoslovakia. He escaped communist Czechoslovakia to Germany where he met his wife, Gertrud, and ultimately moved to the U.S. in 1959. He served in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years and proud of his citizenship. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a bold Christian. His favorite pastimes were chess, mathematics, oil painting, reading, and driving his Corvette. He also enjoyed classical music, especially Mario Lanza.
Family members include his daughter: Marion Ward (Rudolph); son: Mike Kelvin (Julie); grandchildren: Jonathan Lawson (Sarah), Daniel Lawson (Amy), Michael Kelvin (Tiffeny), Timothy Kelvin, Christina Kelvin, Alison Ward, Ashlee Powers (Brad); great-grandchildren: George, Vivian, James, Charles, Henry, Taylor, Lottie, Xander, Lundon, Sidney, Brody, Hudson and Brooklyn. He is preceded in death by his sister, Alena.
The graveside service will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
