Mike was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. He loved life, hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Mike and his brother Monty ran the family business started by their father Harold Outley, Outley Electrical for the past 30 years. He enjoyed his job and working with all of the customers. Mike was a member of Local 1579.
Family members in addition to his wife include parents: Harold and Bobbie Outley; brother: Monty Outley; sister: Sylvia Clark (Gene); daughters: Melissa Outley, Jennifer Outley and April Young; step-children: Christian Thomas, Nicole Thomas and Taylor Thomas; father and mother-in-law: Marvin and Juanita Tawney; a sister-in-law; a brother-in-law; 7 grandchildren; loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and his best dog Jake.
A funeral service will be Saturday, December 6, 2014 4:00 P.M. in the chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Terry Doss officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of IBEW 1579.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Humane Society at P.O. Box 12035, Augusta, GA 30914-2035 and to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation at 1359 Broadway Suite 1509 New York, NY 10018.
