Augusta, GA – Michael Lyndon Scroggs, 62, entered into rest on Sunday, December 6, 2015.
Michael was born in Nuremberg, Germany but has lived in Augusta most of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Butler High School. He worked with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions for 33 years and retired in 2014. He had a strong belief in Christ and was a member of a local Baptist church. Michael enjoyed fishing and going to the lake.
Family members include his brothers: Terry Scroggs (Delores), Charles Scroggs, and Larry Edward Scroggs (Linda); nieces: Andrea Jayaraman (Siva), Deborah Woodard (Benjamin), and Nita Scroggs; nephews: Steven Scroggs and Timothy Scroggs.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Empty Stocking Fund, 1975 Century Blvd., Suite 16, Atlanta, GA 30345-3316.
