Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, August 26, 2015, Mr. Michael Utley, 66, loving husband of 40 years to the late Wadad “Tiny” Utley.
Mr. Utley was a 1967 graduate of Butler High School where he played baseball. He retired from the Medical College of Georgia after 25 years. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
Family members include his sisters: Nancy Bennett of Clinton, LA and Sheila Joyner of Vero Beach, FL; brothers: Dan J. Utley (Babs) of Bluffton, SC and Pat Utley (Kim) of Evans, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Kathleen Utley, and brother, Thomas E. Utley, Jr.
The funeral service will be Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor David Keener officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church Interim Pastor Fund, 4232 Evans to Locks Rd., Evans, GA 30809.
