Mike Burch

Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, Mr. Michael Harold Burch, 63.

Mike, a native of Augusta, worked for EZ-Go Textron in Research & Development and was a member of Pine View Baptist Church. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather. A talented musician, Mike found great joy playing the drums with many local bands, including The Amazing Stranders. Most recently, he used his talent at Pineview Baptist Church. Mike enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working on his 1960s Mustang; a natural mechanic, Mike could fix anything, and delighted in tinkering with machines. He was a perennial figure at the Augusta Southern National Drag Boat Races.

He is survived by his sons: Joseph Burch (Amy) and Zachary Burch (Kile); grandchildren: Savannah Burch and Aubrie Burch; mother: Sylvia Burch; sister: Michele D’Amico (Michael) and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold “Hal” Burch.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. John Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
