Mildred A. Hooper

Mildred Ashe Hooper

December 31, 1930 – October 4, 2024

Mildred was born in Augusta, Georgia to Broadus Carlisle Ashe and Annie Virginia Ashe. She was predeceased by her husband Roy Hooper, her brother Efton Ashe and her sister Gwendolyn Ayers. She is survived by her daughters Deborah (Dr. Frank) Harrison and Karen Campbell (Shelly Goddette). Her grandchildren Trey (Jennifer) Harrison, Matthew (Nicole) Harrison and Blair Barbour (Russell). Mildred was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.

Mildred was an avid card player, reader, jigsaw puzzle solver. She was a phenomenal southern cook and an outrageous shrimp fryer.

Her service will be Monday, October 7th for visitation at 1:00 P.M. and service at 2:00 P.M. in the afternoon at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Road Augusta, Georgia 30907.
