Miriam was born in Augusta raised in Martinez and was a graduate of Evans High School Class of 1980. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Martinez.
Family members include her mother: Helen New; sister: Joyce Campbell; brother: Gene New (Susan); nephews: Keith Schlachter, Shayne Campbell, James New, Christopher New, and Joseph New. She was preceded in death by her father: Emanuel DeLane New.
A memorial service will be Saturday, July 14, 2018, 2:00 P.M., in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son.
In lieu of flowers, Miriam’s family requests donations be made to the Pray for Alex Fund at Trinity Baptist Church in Martinez, GA.
