Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Blanche Hendrix Boyd, 83, wife of Ruben B. Boyd of Grovetown.
Mrs. Boyd was a native and lifelong resident of the Augusta area. She was a homemaker and active member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. She also taught Sunday school there.
Family members in addition to her husband include her daughter: Donna Kaye Stouder of Grovetown; sons: Michael B. Boyd and wife Monica of Augusta, Joseph W. Boyd, Sr. and wife Cissy of Lake Oconee, GA; grandchildren: Emily B. Lyday, Joseph W. Boyd, Jr., Wesley E. Boyd, William M. B. Boyd, Charlotte E. Boyd, Alex B. Boyd, Taylor M. Stouder and sisters: Nettie H. Hardin and Iris H. Drummond.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Billy Turner and Rev. Lloyd Green officiating. Active pallbearers will be Dave Stouder, Paul E. Lyday and her 4 grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Deacons of Mt. Lebanon. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
