Mrs. Imogene "Jean" McCorkel Laircey
EVANS, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday, February 2, 2009 at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Imogene McCorkel "Jean" Laircey, 66, wife of Creighton Laircey.
Mrs. Laircey was a native of Statesboro, GA and had resided in Augusta since 1967. She was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church and taught porcelain art; she was also a member of Palette and Porcelain Artists Association of Augusta and a member of the World Organization of China Painters.
Family members in addition to her husband include her daughters and sons-in-law: Laura and Randy Thompson of Pensacola, FL, Lynda and John Rabon of Pensacola, FL; son and daughter-in-law: Victor and Nadine Laircey of Evans; grandchildren: Anna and Grace Thompson, Jacob and Will Rabon, Madeleine and William Laircey and mother: Erma Jones McCorkel of Statesboro.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Brown and Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating.
The family will receive friends in the "Gathering Area" of Trinity UMC prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 Noon.
