AUGUSTA, Ga. Entered into rest Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Marjorie Deas Berry, 74, wife of Donald A. "Swifty" Berry.
Mrs. Berry was a native of and life long resident of Augusta, GA. She was a homemaker and a member of Abilene Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher.
Family members in addition to her husband include son: Rev. Donald A. Berry, Jr. and wife Christie of Portal, GA, daughters: Nancy Berry Lowery and husband Monty of Perry, GA, Dean Berry Sisson and husband Tony of Martinez, GA, 6 grandchildren: Stephen P. Lowery, Tambra L. Nalley, Anthony J. Sisson, Tyler M. Sisson, Mary Ruth Berry, Curtis G. Berry, 1 great-grandchild: Lillian I. Nalley
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Abilene Baptist Church with Rev. William Harrell officiating. Pallbearers will be Duane Grice, Wendall Reed and the members of Abilene Baptist Church Finance Committee. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Buddy Blitch Sunday School Class. Interment will follow at Abilene Church Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abilene Baptist Church Building Fund, 3917 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30907.
