AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on March 6, 2009, Mrs. Virginia May Curley, of Augusta.
Mrs. Virginia May Curley, 81, was a native of Macon, GA, had lived in Augusta since 1936. She was retired from the Richmond County Board of Education as an administrative secretary and from JB Whites. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the Beckum Bible Class.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Family members include her son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Sharon Curley of Lincolnton; daughter and son-in-law: Laura and Remer Y. Brinson III of Augusta; grandchildren: Leigh Curley and her fiance' Michael Witherington, Austin Curley and wife Carolyn, Remer Y. Brinson IV and Holton L. Brinson.
The family will receive friends Monday March 9, 2009 at Thomas Poteet & Son from 10:00 A.M until 11:30 A.M. Graveside services will be held following the visitation on Monday at 12:30 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Phil May and Rev. Dan Brown officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Beckum Bible Class from St. James.
The family would like to thank Dianne Davis, her best friend, The Judd C. Hickey Center and Dory McGahee, Brianna Rabbie, Tiffany Parker, Sandra Jarrel, Connie Jones, Marcee Streeter, Pam Miles, Alberta Walker, Anntoinette Walker and Jacquiline Herrington of Pine View Gardens for their care, love and prayers.
