Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Trinity Hospital, Ms. Carol Elliott Grant, 69, of Augusta.
Ms. Grant was a native of Utica, NY and spent her childhood in Richfield Springs, NY. She attended Syracuse University before moving to Augusta where she spent the remainder of her life. She was employed by the Richmond County Board of Education as an educator, having taught at National Hills Elementary until her retirement in 2007.
Family members include: sons; Robert “Chip” Grant, Geoff Grant and wife, Peggy, Jody Grant and wife, Mendy; grandchildren; Kelsey Grant, Connor Grant, Garrett Grant and Ryan Grant.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 7, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Ken Rowland officiating. Pallbearers will be: Thomas J. Behm, Michael Cantey, Brett Cantey, Ronald Hill, Patrick Martin and Bobby Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Christ Episcopal Church, 1904 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901 “in memory of Ms. Carol Grant”.
