Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, September 10, 2010, at MCG, Mrs. Murriell Kalb Pursley, 80, beloved wife of 61 years of Samuel C. Pursley, Sr.

Mrs. Pursley was a native of Baltimore, MD but moved to Augusta in 1950 with her husband. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Pursley loved the simple things in life and believed in serving others. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Family members in addition to her husband include sons: Samuel C. Pursley, Jr. (Patti), Stewart F. Pursley (Joylynn); daughters: Geraldine P. Benoit (Mike), Anna P. King (Charlie), Debbie P. Hibbs (Richard), Penny P. Walden (DeWayne); twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and brother: Richard P. Kalb (Joyce). She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Leona Kalb and sister Geraldine Cross.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
