Myra Mendaros Calzado-Norman

Augusta, GA – Myra Calzado-Norman, 56, loving wife of Gregory Norman, entered into rest on Thursday, July 18, 2024.

Myra was born in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato, Philippines and moved to the United States in 1991. She has lived in Augusta, GA for 24 years. She was a registered nurse for over 30 years and worked at Augusta University Medical Center for a total of 22 years. She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Myra enjoyed crocheting, shopping, watching medieval shows and movies, watching Korean movies, and cooking shows. She enjoyed eating out with her friends. Her favorite foods were crab legs and ribeye steak. Most of all, Myra was a family person and loved spending time with her family and family friends, especially with her grandson.

Myra leaves to cherish her memory, in addition to her husband Greg, her daughter: Brianna Norman; sons: Marcus Norman and Aaron Johnson; grandson: Maddox Norman; sisters: Marilou Calzado and Helen Calzado Adolfo; brothers: Romeo, Jose Roy, and Raul Calzado. She was preceded in death by her mother Josefina M Calzado, her father Raymundo T Calzado, and brother Voltaire Calzado.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364- 8484.
