Augusta, GA - Entered into rest on May 17, 2021. Mrs. Kuglar was the widow of William D. Patterson, M.D. She then married Everett C. Kuglar, M.D. for 34 years until his death.

Born in Gainesville, Georgia, Nancy lived most of her life in Augusta. She graduated from Augusta College and worked with her husband, Everett Kuglar, in his private practice of psychiatry. She was a member of First Baptist Church, singing in their choir and teaching children’s Sunday school class for several years. She was a member of the Augusta Junior Women’s Club and president in 1973. She was active in many civic organizations including, March of Dimes and served as a board member, member and president of Better Infant Births, a member and past president of both Country Hills Garden Club and Wood Valley Garden Club.

Family members include son William Douglas Patterson (Karin), daughter Alane Patterson Bowles (Ralph), stepsons Everett Kuglar, Jr. (Cathy), George Edward Kuglar (Lisa), 4 grandsons, Conner West (Jessica), Clint Kuglar, Jacob Kuglar (Emily), Michael Bowles; granddaughters Brannon Patterson, Courtney Patterson Hunter (Trent), Emily Bowles, Annamarie Bowles, Maurey Bowles; sister, Eleanor Knight, Atlanta, and 1 nephew, 2 nieces, as well as several great nephews and great nieces and dear friend and companion Ed Cates. She loved the mountains, traveling and her children, and was a devoted grandmother.

The funeral service will be Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son and the family will receive friends from 1:00 until the time of service. Dr. Andy Menger will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Conner West, Michael Bowles, Clint Kuglar, Jake Kuglar, Trent Hunter, Michael Ardry, and Ezekiel Smith. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mental Health America of Greater Augusta, 1720 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
