Augusta, GA - Naomi Joanne (Rogers) Morris entered into rest January 13, 2018. Joanne was born in Dearing, GA on January 28, 1940 to the late Leonard and Eugenia Rogers.
She is survived by David, her husband of 45 years, daughter Susan Royal (Jason), children by marriage Lisa Morris and Steve Morris, and two grandchildren Emmarae and Caleb Royal. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her sister Barbara O’Neal (David), niece Patricia O’Neal, and nephew Timothy O’Neal. She is preceded in death by her brother Edward Rogers.
Joanne was a graduate of the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing class of 1961. She was a retired Air Force Registered Nurse and also retired from St. Joseph Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Augusta Warriors Project, 701 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
