Nathan Davis Tingen, 33, of Grovetown, GA, went to heaven January 17, 2018. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2:00P.M. at Abilene Baptist Church. Dr. Brad Whitt and Rev. Terry Doss will officiate. Interment will be held at Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Road, Augusta 30907.
Nathan was married to Megan Dukes Tingen in 2014. He was born June 18, 1984 to Jim and Martha Tingen of Augusta. He was a graduate of Georgia Southern University, School of Nursing and was an outstanding registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and family. He loved the outdoors, exercising with his brother, cooking with his wife and was an avid poker player. He participated in numerous sports. He and his brother are three-time state tennis champions and Nate went on to play collegiate tennis for GSU. Nathan and Megan are active members at Abilene Baptist Church.
Surviving family include his wife: Megan; his mother and father: Martha and Jim Tingen; his brother: Joseph (Lindsey) and his grandmother: Mary Ella Tingen. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Bruce Smith and Don Tingen; and grandmother: Mildred Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Abilene Baptist Church, 3917 Washington Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
