Nathaniel Hanna
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, August 15, 2018, Nathaniel Hanna, 85.
Mr. Hanna was born in Lake City, SC and moved with his young family to North Charleston, SC in the 1960’s. When dementia hit in 2010, he made his home in Augusta, GA. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Mr. Hanna was known for having a great sense of humor and his love of fishing. Some of his memories faded except for his family, love of music, bananas, and peanut butter crackers. He didn’t talk much, but always called “Hey Milton” whenever his son-in-law left the room. Known as “Shorty” at SCE&G, he retired after more than 40 years.
Family members include his son: Randy L. Hanna; daughters: Barbara Rose (Milton), Sylvia Hanna; grandchildren: Diane Rose, Marcus Nathan Hill and Cedric Hill; sister: Sarah Nowlin (Mack); cousin: Zora Hazelton and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jerlen Hanna; and son: Rex E. Hanna.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 17, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at The Chapel at Warren Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, SC on Saturday at 2:00P.M.

The family will receive friends Friday prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the church.
