Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, November 9, 2024, Neal Maynard Klein, 84, loving husband of the late Janelle Windsor Jones Klein.
Born December 14, 1939, in Russell, Kansas and predeceased by his parents Rudolph and Louise Klein and brothers Gene, Jerry, Fred, Richard, and Melvin.
Neal proudly served a distinguished 23-year career in the US Army, retiring as a Sergeant Major. He was stationed overseas many times, which instilled a love for travel. After retiring from the Army, Neal worked for many decades in the computer industry.
He had terrific wit, always had a smile on his face, never met a stranger, had an overwhelming desire to lend a helping hand, share a joke and give a hug. He was loving, very generous, kind, funny, and a giver of great advice.
Neal leaves behind his three children, Gregory Klein (Carolyn), Kelley Klein, Jeffrey Klein (Kate), stepsons, Shawn Jones (Tabitha), Mark Jones (Erin), Aaron Jones (Crystal), eighteen grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother-in-law Mark Windsor (Linda) and sisters-in-law Martha Klein, Brenda Windsor, Pam Pretner, Tari Deless (Ric) and and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will have a private graveside service at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to follow. For more information regarding the Celebration of Life please contact, celebratenmk39@gmail.com.
