Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, November 2, 2009 at her residence, Nina W. Smith, wife of Robert L. Smith, Jr.

Mrs. Smith was born in Holly Hill, SC, grew up in Springfield, SC where she graduated from Springfield High School. Upon graduation she worked at Warner Robins AFB, it was there she met her husband of 58 years. After marriage she moved to Augusta where she made her home and continued to work with Civil Service. Mrs. Smith was a member of The Hill Baptist Church and a member of the Ruth Bible Class.

Family members in addition to her husband include her daughters: Linda S. Clark of San Antonio, TX, Nancy S. Gambill and husband Russell F. Gambill III; grandchildren: Robert F. Clark, Emily Clark, David Clark and Mary Elaine Gambill; brother: Lewis D. Williams of Springfield, SC. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by parents the late Lowman and Blanche K. Williams and brother: the late Ernest H. Williams.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at The Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Ruffin and Rev. William Berry officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: William T. Kavanagh, Jr., George Singletary, Rev. Fred Gunter, Dr. Tom Ramage, Don Williams and Mike Williams.
