Noah Detchemendy

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, March 24, 2024, Mr. Noah Detchemendy, 39, loving son of Gloria Tavares Detchemendy and the late Mark Detchemendy.

Noah loved his family and the Lord with all his heart. He was loving, sweet, generous, and so smart.  He could replace a fixture or build a house. It didn’t matter the task, if you asked Noah to do it, he would figure it out. He was an amazing artist. He saw the world as this beautiful landscape but also saw it as a dark landscape. He struggled for many years with his disease and fought it until the very end. We loved his strength, his humor, his smile, his fortitude and especially his love for all who knew him. Noah loved the Lord with all his heart.  If you tried to argue with him about the bible, you would lose. He knew it back and forth and tried so hard to apply biblical principles to his life. He loved like Jesus, and we know that he is with him. We know our dad was there to greet him and hold him so tight and tell him that all his suffering is gone and now he can be at peace. Noah we are all better for knowing you and getting the privilege to call you son, brother, uncle, and friend.  

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So, after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation! 1 Peter 5:10.

Family members in addition to his parents include his siblings: Melissa Detchemendy (Crystal), Michelle Patel (Vipul), Joshua Detchemendy, Luke Detchemendy (Bridget), Abraham Detchemendy (Katie), Jeremiah Detchemendy (Michelle), Edward Detchemendy (Brittany); nieces and nephews: Cara Chimento, Brittney Edmunds, Oscar Detchemendy, Ella Detchemendy, Maialen Patel, Maeve Detchemendy, Shy Patel, Liam Kennedy, Oliver Detchemendy, Magnolia Detchemendy, Valin Patel, Lawson Detchemendy, Canon Detchemendy and Mila Detchemendy; girlfriend: Sarah Shelby; aunts and uncles: Tom Detchemendy (Linda), Mike Detchemendy (Danella), Cecelia Gillahan (Gary), Julia Compoc (the late Ted), and Melissa Butler (Walter).

The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and the memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM at the church.
