Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the residence, Mrs. Noreen C. Porubsky, 77, loving wife of 52 years to Edward S. Porubsky, M.D.

Mrs. Porubsky was born in Cleveland, OH and graduated from Regina High School. She went on to work for U.S. News & World Report Magazine as office administrator. Mrs. Porubsky moved to Augusta in 1972, was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and a Eucharistic Minister. She was on the boards of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School, Aquinas High School, Richmond County Medical Society Alliance and the MCG Faculty & Spouse Club.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her children: Amy E. Tupper, M.Ed. (Eric) of Lawrenceville, GA, Julie A. Oyler, J.D. (Jeff) of Atlanta, GA, Edward A. Porubsky, M.D. (Claiborne) of Augusta, GA, William P. Porubsky, Ph.D. (Jacklyn) of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren: Jake and Sam Tupper, Harrison, Audrey and Bennett Oyler, Claiborne and Austin Porubsky, Brinley Porubsky;; brother: Timothy J. Keaveny of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents: Austin P. and Mildred E. Keaveny; and her sister: Patricia A. Keaveny.

A funeral Mass will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MCG Foundation, Breast Cancer Research Fund, 545 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30901 or St. Mary’s on the Hill Catholic Church, 1420 Monte Sano Ave., Augusta, GA 30909.
