Norma Jean Brunty

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, March 30, 2021, Mrs. Norma Jean Brunty, 83, wife of the late Mr. Larry Joe Brunty.

Mrs. Brunty was a native of Alabama and lived in Augusta most of her adult life. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she had a special gift for raising children. Her family was her life.

Family members include her sons: Larry J. Brunty, Jr., Kurt Brunty and wife Jennifer, both of Augusta; daughters: Mary Jo Schmazel and husband John of Pitman, NJ, Roxanna Kincaid and husband John of Lebanon, IN, Sylvia Dodson and husband Steven, Betty Young and husband Bob of Anderson, SC, Shelby Brunty, Aubree Brunty; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son: Billy Harold Brunty.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Pastor Ken Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
