Mrs. Hicks was a retired Librarian at the Aiken Regional Library and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Family members include: daughter Nancy Coursey and husband Michael of Evans, sons: Dale Hicks and wife Donna of Ninety Six, SC, Edward Hicks and his wife Leslie of Ninety Six, SC, sister: Hazel Smith of Hamilton NV, grandchildren: Michelle Sheppard, Dennis Hicks, Douglas Hicks, Kristine Laca and Robert Hicks, great grandchildren:, Ashton Sheppard, James Hicks, Charlie Hicks, Connor Hicks, Collin Hicks, Caitlin Hicks, Alexandra Laca, Jackson Hicks
