Norma “Patsy” Young Eargle
Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Friday, September 23, 2016, Mrs. Norma Young Eargle, 90, wife of the late Gerald O. Eargle.
Mrs. Eargle retired in 1986, after 21 years working as a clerk in Civilian Personnel at Fort Gordon. She was also a clerk for Georgia Southern Railroad. Mrs. Eargle was a charter member of Windsor Spring Baptist Church. She was a cashier in concessions at the Masters for more than 20 years. She is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother for her wit, strength and independence.
Family members include her son: Richard J. Eargle (Janet), Evans, GA; daughter: Teresa E. Choat (Donald) Martinez, GA; grandchildren: Matthew Choat (Alyssa), Joshua Eargle (Tiffany), Phillip Choat (Cara) and Kevin Eargle (Katy) and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband: Jerry Eargle and brother: Edward “Snap” Young.
A funeral service will be Monday, September 26, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Alan Yarborough officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Elmcroft and Heartland Hospice for their loving care.
