Augusta, GA – Mrs. Opal F. Wynn, 82, beloved wife of 63 years to Dr. Plummer H. Wynn, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lamar Ferguson, entered into rest on Monday, March 29, 2010 at University Hospital.

Mrs. Wynn was a native of Chunky, Mississippi but lived most of her life in Jackson, MS. until moving to Augusta in 1971. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a passionate gardener, seamstress and dog lover.

Family members include her two daughters: Barbara Wynn Blanchard and husband Randy, Beverly Wynn Calvert and husband Craig; two sons: Plummer H. (Buddy) Wynn III, Robert T. Wynn and wife Holly; eleven grandchildren: Justin Burnett, Jamie Burnett, Jody Burnett, Libby Wynn, Ann Wynn Cox, Carley Wynn Garner, Scott Calvert, Chris Calvert, Lyndsey Calvert, Megan Wynn, and Katie Wynn; great-grandchildren: Samuel Calvert, Luisa Calvert, McKenzie Cox, Joshua Cox. She is also survived by her sisters: Bobbye Buck, Rosa Nell Sanders and Jerry Rogers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. John Pinson officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
