Ouida Anne Storey

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Trinity Hospital, Mrs. Ouida Anne Storey, 90, wife of the late Frank T. Storey.

Mrs. Storey was a native of Wrens, GA and life long resident of Augusta. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She loved fishing and bingo with her family.

Family members include her daughters: Martha Robinson and Janis Leftwich and husband Mercer all of Augusta, sisters: Bettie Yonker and Ruth Reaves both of Augusta, grandchildren: Vickie Walker and husband Sonny, Teresa King and husband Don, Brenda Edwards and husband Mike, Jackie Cook and husband Kevin, Tina Fulcher, Michelle Busbee and husband James, Mercer Leftwich, III, Candi King and husband Robert, Rich Rogers, 7 great grandchildren. Mrs. Storey was preceded in death by her daughters: Dianne Storey and Cindy Storey, sister: Eleanor S. Godfrey and brother: William E. Smith, Jr.

She was truly loved and will be missed by her family. The family would like to thank Yvonne Foxx and Leomia Dunn for their love and care. We also would like to thank Kentwood Nursing Home administration, faculty and residents for their love and kindness shown to mama during her stay and to her daughters, Janis and Martha.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mercer Leftwich, David Ness, William Walker, Don King, Mike Edwards and James Busbee, Jr.
