Pamela Vincent

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, Mrs. Pamela Grimes Vincent, 62, wife of Mr. Andre Vincent for 20 years.

Pamela, a native of Augusta, Georgia, graduated from Butler High School in 1976. She later attended Augusta College and Paine College. She received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Paine College. She taught mathematics in the Richmond County School System for 15 years. Also, at the time of her passing, she served as a math tutor at Augusta Technical College.

Pamela was a very creative and spirited individual who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting, baking, and assembling puzzles. In addition, she spent a lot of time with her pets and her spouse traveling.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her sisters: Sharon Gordon, Linda Terrell (James) and Versity Grimes; mother-in-law: Jessie Joyner; brothers-in-law: James Vincent (Jocelyn), Mark Joyner, Henry Gibson, and James Carroll; sisters-in-law Lisa Lewis (Dedrick) and Patricia Martina Saxon (Ben). She was preceded in death by her parents John and Dorothy Grimes.

In addition to her family, she leaves to mourn some dedicated friends, Mr. Larry and Mrs. Alberta Graham and Mrs. Ora Green, her neighbor.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 10:00 A.M followed by a memorial service in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Charles Sanders officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital in Pamela Vincent’s memory.
