Richard D. Geiselman went to be with his Lord and Savior yesterday at Harrington Park. He was 90 years old and lived in Martinez, GA.
Born in Hanover, PA in 1934, he was the son of the late Dean and Edna Geiselman. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Dorothy A. Geiselman; a daughter, Susan L. Salamone of Pottstown, PA; and six grandchildren. Christian D. Geiselman, a son, preceded him in death as did his two brothers – John W. Geiselman II and Donald L. Geiselman.
Dick attended Eichelberger High School in Hanover, PA and then went onto the Drexel Institute of Technology (now Drexel University) in Philadelphia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1957. After serving two years in the army at Fort Gordon, GA (and getting married to Dottie while there) he lived with his family in Valley Forge, PA for the next 39 years. In 1998, he retired from the business world and moved to Augusta, GA, his wife’s hometown.
Dick worked early in his career for Frank W. Hankins & Co. as a marketing research analyst and later for Air Products and Chemicals in Allentown, PA. for ten years retiring from that company in 1986. But most of his career was spent with Houghton International in Valley Forge, PA where he served in various marketing positions including manager of marketing communications and Vice President of Marketing.
In retirement, Dick was active in church work and at the age of 69 received a call from God and entered seminary studied online with the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. After completing his studies, he was commissioned as a Commissioned Lay Pastor of Bath Presbyterian Church in Blythe, GA. He held that position for 6 years, but continued as a supply preacher into his 80’s.

The memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church.
