Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Trinity Hospital, Patricia “Tricia” E. Rivers, 60.
Ms. Rivers attended Covenant Presbyterian Church. She taught in the Richmond County School System for 30 years, retiring in 2005. She was the Athletic Director and Girls Head Basketball Coach at Richmond Academy. She took the team to the State tournament in 1997 and won the Georgia High School Association Championship. Ms. Rivers was Head Coach for 23 years.
Family members include her companion: Susan Williams; her extended family including several aunts and cousins; her Baker Avenue family and her beloved pets: Abigail and Samantha. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Pete Rivers, Tommy Rivers and parents: Peter and Mary Ellen Rivers.
A memorial service will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Karla Conditt Daniels, LMFT officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Humane Society, Inc., P.O. Box 12035, Augusta, GA 30914 or to a charity of one’s choice.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4:30 until 5:45 PM at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
