Evans, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Trinity Hospital, Mrs. Patricia Rigsby Daniel, 78, beloved wife of Carl J. “Danny” Daniel.
Mrs. Patricia Rigsby Daniel passed away peacefully after a short illness with ALS. She attended Tubman Girls School, and later became a supervisor and kindergarten teacher at Hickman Park. Later in life, she retired from the Richmond County Recreation Department as the Special Activities Director. Mrs. Daniel loved to dance, exercise and loved sports. She lived her life to the fullest.
Family members, in addition to her husband include: sons: Mike Daniel (Elaine) of Evans, Mark Daniel (Kathy) of Martinez, David Daniel of Augusta, daughters: Diane Smalley Coulston (Wayne) of Appling, Maxine A. Rigsby of Augusta, Kathleen Daniel of Martinez, grandchildren: Joey Smalley, Travis Smalley, Christy Presgrove, Natalie Gay, Michael Daniel, April Daniel, Matthew Daniel, Mallory Daniel, Patrick Daniel, sister: Miriam Lang and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Kenneth G. Rowland officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pall bearers will be Corey Smalley, Travis Smalley, Joey Smalley, Michael Daniel, Brian Presgrove and Harry B. Arthur III.
Memorials may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 1904 Greene Street Augusta, GA 30904 or the ALS Foundation at the Medical College of Georgia, 1120 15th Street Augusta, GA 30912.
