Augusta, GA – Mr. Patrick Arthur McKeown, Jr., 76, devoted husband of 50 years to Kathleen McKeown, finished his race and went to glory on Friday, June 8, 2012. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his booming laugh, Marian devotion and ready heart to serve anyone in need. He did not aspire to greatness in this life but rather lived his life in great love and service to God, spreading God’s love in his own quiet way and building Christian community.

A native of Rochester, NY, he received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Saint John Fisher College and a Degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University. He was a retired Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner.

Family members in addition to his wife include children: Moira McKeown, who predeceased him, Reverend Timothy Patrick McKeown, Susie McBride (Dennis), Carrie Schmitt (Tim) and Mollie Samaha (Joel); and the joys of his heart his grandchildren: Marin, Mac, Emma, Collin and Alley McBride, Ryan, Harrison, Adair and Owen Schmitt, Mia, Tess and Judah Samaha. Predeceased by his sister Margaret, he is survived by his brothers: Vince, James and Michael McKeown and sisters: Eileen Russo and Mary Ann Gebo all of New York State.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church with Father Timothy McKeown celebrant. Burial will follow at the Alleluia Community Cemetery in Dearing, GA.

In lieu of flowers the family request charitable contributions be made to Alleluia Community School PO Box 6805, Augusta, GA 30916.

Visitation with the family will begin at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church followed by a rosary at 6:45 P.M. and a prayer service from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
