Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, July 26, 2016, Mr. Paul Edward Powers, age 86.
Mr. Powers was born in Athens, GA but lived in Augusta most of his life. He was a member of Lakemont Presbyterian Church. Mr. Powers graduated from Richmond Academy then went on to Georgia Technical College. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War then served in the Naval Reserve as a Sea Bee. Mr. Powers worked at Plant Vogtle. He was a millwright union member under Local 283.
Family members include children: son, Cash E. Powers (Holly S. Hatchett), Augusta, Georgia; daughter, Lee Ann Powers Pendarvis and husband Richard, Edgefield, South Carolina; grandchildren, Kateland Powers Parnell and husband Michael, Jennifer Marie, Maribeth Nicole and Allison Leigh Powers and Lilli Anne and Bailey Powers Pendarvis; great grandchildren, Michael and Ellie Grace Parnell.
A graveside service will be Thursday, July 28, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Westview Cemetery with Rev. David Vosseller officiating.
The family wished to thank Larry Wallace for all his love and care.
