Augusta, GA – Paul Parks, husband of Elizabeth Cumbee Parks, entered into rest Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Doctors Hospital.

Paul was a member of Gardner Grove Baptist Church. He was a Surgical and Anesthesia Technician at the VA Medical Center. His hobbies were golf, family, and music. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all.

He is preceded in death by his parents: George and Vermel Garnett Parks; brothers: Theron, John L., Joe Daniel; sisters: Sadie, Susie; and grandson: Brian C. Parks.

Paul leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Elizabeth; sons: Marcus (Theresa) Parks, Sr. of Augusta, Malcolm Parks of Atlanta, Brian Parks of Atlanta, Martinez Parks of Augusta; brothers: James Parks, Albert Myers, John (Doris) Parks; sisters: Lois Andrews, Fancie Jackson, Mary Ramsey, all of Augusta; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Gardner Grove Baptist Church, 3511 Wheeler Rd., Augusta, GA with Rev. Dr. Rufus Copeland officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dion Mayo, Christian Barnes, Paul N. Parks, Brandon Parks, Marcus L. Parks, Jr., and Erick Thomas.
