It is with profound sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Paula Teresa Bennett, on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the age of 66.
She is preceded in death by her mother-in-love, Ida G. Bennett, sister Brenda Farr Ufret, and brother Michael Farr.
Paula was the beloved oldest daughter of Charlotte Farr, mother of Kimberly Bennett Redfearn (Austin), and most treasured Memom to Andrew, Leenah, and Sharlotte Redfearn.
She is survived by her sister Carol Arrington, brother Jamie Farr (Jamie), sister-in-law Sherry Farr, and brother-in-law Ivan Ufret. Fondly remembered by her first love, best friend Frank Bennett along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and many cherished friends.
Born in Appalachia, VA but a life-long resident of Augusta, where she spent 46 years devoted to the banking community at Bank of America. She started as a teller, advancing to a Branch Manager and Senior Vice President for many years prior to ending her successful career as a Mortgage Lending Specialist. Throughout her career she was honored with numerous recognitions and awards for her dedicated hard work. She loved connecting with and was deeply admired by her coworkers and customers.
Her relationship and love for God always shined in everything she did. She was never shy to offer encouraging words, lend a helping hand, or physically meet the needs of a person. She volunteered her time with Habitat for Humanity and Project Life Augusta. You would always see her friendly smile greeting anyone who walked through the doors at New Life Church.
Family was the pivotal essence of Paula’s life. She was so proud and honored to be able to share experiences and make memories with everyone. You would always find her on the sidelines or in the audience cheering and supporting those she loved. She was considered a “momma” to everyone, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at New Life Church (Central Campus), 250 Bobby Jones Expy, Augusta, GA 30907 at 6:00pm. Family will receive friends prior to service at 5:00pm.
