Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, January 11, 2012, Mrs. Pauline F. Heslip, 86, beloved wife of the late Dr. Samuel W. Heslip, former Pastor of Lakemont Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Heslip was born in Belfast, N. Ireland and lived in Augusta since 1977. She was the first kindergarten teacher at First Baptist Church of Augusta where she taught for 20 years. Her later years were filled with delight as she met her former students, many of whom are now adults.
Family members include sons: Tom Heslip, Lloyd H. Heslip and wife Sasha; Paul S. Heslip and wife Barbara; brother: William Ferguson of Belfast, N. Ireland; grandson: Colin F. Heslip of Augusta, GA; nephews: Dr. Leslie Holmes and wife Barbara of Augusta, GA.; Dr. Gary Holmes and Catherine of Augusta; niece: Erin Colleen Holmes Eby and husband Mike and their daughters.
Following a private interment at Westover Memorial Park a memorial service, celebrating “Miss” Pauline’s life, will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Lakemont Presbyterian Church with Dr. Leslie Holmes and Rev. Noah Kiser officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service.
