Percy Elwood Marcum, Jr.
Augusta, GA – Percy E. Marcum, Jr., age 81, loving husband of Edna M. Marcum, and only child of Percy E. Marcum, Sr. and Mamie Newsome Marcum, entered into rest on December 2, 2013. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, 811 Telfair Street, at 12:15 P.M. with Father Jacek Szuster officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Marcum attended Sacred Heart School and the Academy of Richmond County. He was employed by the Procter and Gamble Company as Mechanical Engineer having retired in 1991 after 39 years, following his grandfather, father, and uncle giving a combined total of 120 years to Procter and Gamble, one of our country’s finest successful companies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark Christopher Marcum, Sr. and wife Andrea, granddaughters, Erica Ashley Marcum, Christina Lauren Marcum, grandson, Mark Christopher Marcum, Jr., and great-granddaughters, Nylah Aundrea and Brynsley Nicole. Mr. Marcum also leaves behind cherished memories of his Procter and Gamble associates and Engineers for whom he greatly respected.
