Pete Parker

Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, October 17, 2022, Mr. Pete Parker, 74, loving husband of 55 years to Mrs. Lynda Parker.

Pete was a graduate of Academy of Richmond County, Class of 1965. He served in the United States Air Force. Pete was known in the Augusta area where he played in several bands including the Blue Notes and Sound Dimension. Pete was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and will be dearly missed by all.

Family members in addition to his wife Lynda, include his son: Chad Parker; daughter: Traci Leggett (Calvin); grandchildren: Kayla Parker, Avery Parker, Nicolas Torres (Natalyia), Jordan Leggett and Emily Leggett; great grandchild: Cecelia Torres; brother: Paul Maddox and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Parker and brother: Gene Maddox (Katherine).

A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. James Napier officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 1:30 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son, before proceeding to the cemetery.
