Philip Gregory “Bo” Weigle
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, May 14, 2010, Mr. Philip Weigle, 73, beloved husband of Mrs. Joyce Weigle.
Bo graduated from Boys Catholic High School in 1955. He then attended and graduated from The University of Georgia, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. Mr. Weigle was a member of the Irish American Heritage Society, Knights of Columbus Patrick Walsh Council #677, and was a lifelong member of St. Mary On the Hill Catholic Church. Bo loved all sports, especially golf and the Georgia Bulldog football team.
Family members include: wife: Joyce Todd Weigle of Augusta, daughter: Patrice Weigle Johnson (Aaron) of Macon, GA, sisters: Miriam W. Siwinski (Todd) of Parkville, MD, Anne Marie W. Fair (Bill), brother: John B. Weigle, Sr. (Barbara), grandchildren: Brooks Aaron Johnson, Lucas Gregory Johnson, mother in law: Lavo H. Todd of Sandersville, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Weigle was preceded in death by his parents: Charles H. Weigle, Sr., and Mary Bresnahan Weigle, his brother: Charles Henry Weigle Jr., sister: Patricia Weigle Kelleher and brother in law: Thomas F. Kelleher.
Vigil service will be at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, Sunday at 7:30 P.M., and the family will visit with friends in the narthex.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 17, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Van Alstine and Rev. Gerald Ragan Con-Celebrants. Interment will be at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Patrick Fair, Bill Fair, Charlie Fair, John Weigle, Jr., Harry Weigle, Michael Kelleher, Charles Kelleher, Jan Scholer, and Scott Davis.
