Phyllis H. Campbell

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, Mrs. Phyllis Hanson Campbell,  80, loving wife of 60 years to Mr. Jerry L. Campbell.

Phyllis was a long-time member of Pineview Baptist Church. She worked part-time as a bookkeeper for A.C. Proctor Paint and Body Shop, where she considered everyone as family. Phyllis loved playing bingo and traveling to Las Vegas.

Family members in addition to her husband include her daughter: Shirley Jones; grandsons: Brent Jones (Kelsey), Chad Jones (Caylee); great grandchildren: Kyler Jones, Keaton Jones and Reid Tucker and sister: Elaine Peterson (Bob). She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Kathleen Hanson and brother Harold Hanson Jr.

The funeral service will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Pineview Baptist Church with Rev. John Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Pallbearers will be Tommy Todd, Perry Maddox, Bob Weldon, Johnny Melles, Bill Johnson, Troy Harwell and Don Bryant.
