Ralph Walden

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, Ralph Allen Walden, 94, loving husband of 74 years to the late Betty Walden. His children: Yvonne Greene and Barry Walden; grandchildren: Nancie Lavender (David), Joshua Greene, Halie Walden (Nate) and Amber Moore (Matt); great-grandchildren: Harlan Lavender, Winsdae Dischinger and Betty Ann Moore.

Ralph was born in Laurens, GA and grew up on a farm. He served in WWII as a bomb disposal technician. After the war, he went to work for John P. King Mill as a loom fixer and retired as a shipping clerk with Deerfield Specialty Paper. He was a very strong man with a great love for his family and fishing.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Ralph and David Kitchens officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
