Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, March 23, 2014, Ramon S. Irizarry, 92, husband of the late Dolores Torres.
Mr. Irizarry was a native of Puerto Rico. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Irizarry was very active until very late in life. He enjoyed cooking and traveling as well as the cooking and traveling networks.
Family members include daughter: Myrna Montalvo (Luis); grandchildren: Michelle M. Montalvo, Natalie A. Montalvo and Carolyn A. Montalvo; and siblings: Carmen Julia Hughes, Leida Perez, Raul Irizarry, Dario Irizarry and Isabel Irizarry.
A funeral mass will be Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Pablo Migones officiating.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church at 2607 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the church.
